I never thought the Jonas Brothers used their days off from shows to have surprisingly intense soccer tournaments, but that’s exactly what happened! After meeting soccer legend Ronaldo in Sao Paulo the other day, and playing at his team’s practice field, the guys decided to
organize a tournament for everyone on tour.

From its inception it didn’t seem like something just for fun though. Word spread quickly and alliances were formed. Even twitter accounts for the teams were made that garnered thousands of followers! Next thing I know Joe Jonas pulls me aside to tell me I’ve been chosen for his team, Bilbo Real, and there would be a team meeting to go over strategy in the days leading up. Nick formed AC United, the crew formed a team called The C+C Soccer Factory, and Kevin pulled together a team with the dancers and security we called The Leftovers. There was no expense spared in the preparations. AC United made jerseys with each players initials on it. We got brand new cleats and even came up with a team song. It was all pretty ridiculous but it seems like the tour needed some competition to break up all the fanfare and entertaining. The trash talk was comparable to boxers at their press conferences- crazy.

Soccer star Ronaldino invited us to have the tournament at his private compound in Porto Alegre and then the day of competition finally came and it was painfully evident that Ronaldino should’ve also offered us soccer lessons. The competition was still heated and there was a lot of pride on the line regardless. Unfortunately, our team underperformed to the tune of no goals and our dynasty was destroyed before it even got started. Oh well, we all had a great time anyway!
